The Stagecoach was the best means of transportation of the 19th century. The Concord Coach could carry up to 21 passengers; nine inside and twelve outside. It would also deliver goods such as mail. The suspension of the coach is constructed of two thorough-braces and three inch thick strips of leather that served as shock absorbers. These shock absorbers would make it a "cradle on wheels". This miniature is completely hand made and painted to scale with working doors, brakes, and suspension. When pulled out of the base this coach will run (wheels will turn) just like the real coach.
